With a family of 4, we go through this filter fairly quick. I believe the product states it will filter 200 gallons, but with sports and school, we go through that pretty fast. I would like this to filter out more than 200 gallons.

Not sure how well this review is going to go because it’s just a water filter for my whirlpool refrigerator. It’s the one that I’ve always gotten. The only downside is the price as much water as me and my family drink the filters don’t last as long as we would like for the price.

So this filter we purchased at the store but it failed shortly after and reduced the whirlpool water dispenser from the rated .6gpm flow rate to about .1 as a cup of water would take forever!!!! When looking to get the replacement I figured it’s nsf rated which is a loose federal rating for filtration and hint charcoal is mostly what they all use. But for the price ridiculous just be aware all water filters if it fits and flow rate is good might just be as good so I bought a 3 pack same cost with good reviews. This is not a bad review as they mostly work well it’s just for the people to see what they are buying.

I knew Whirlpool manufacturers Kitchenaid, so I decided to try this in my Kitchenaid fridge. My suspicions were correct–the only difference is the Whirlpool and Kitchenaid names on the filters! Buying this one saved me so much money! The water on my fridge was coming out extremely slow. Now, the water comes out in a fast steady pace and tastes great. Changing the filter is quick and super easy. It also seems to last me twice as long as the recommended switch time.

This replaced the factory original filter, which lasted nearly two years with our exceedingly clean public water supply. They do a nice job of clearing out the chlorine smell and reducing the particle count to nearly nothing.
Word to the wise, as the flow rate is reduced by the filling cartridge, both the autofill feature on our fridge and the ice maker started giving issues. But, at the price being charged for these filters, reducing the number purchased by 75% makes a difference.
